IFOOTAGE CB3 BASE-P Cobra 3 Low Profile Minipod Base with Pedal Pedal Locking Design Auto Locking Sleeve DSLR Camera

Bought this to supplement the minipod base that came with my Cobra C180-II (Shorter feet, with a knurled knob and ball head).\n\nUseful changes:\n+ Longer legs (see first photo) makes it more stable\n+ Lever-pedal lock-unlock mechanism. You can unlock the base without bending down.\n+ Redesigned collar with a visual indicator for when the release plate is properly locked in (the white line below the red collar, 3rd picture) - previous version with the C180-II did not have such a marker, and you had to be familiar with what constitutes a properly locked-in QR plate.\n\nRequires some getting used to:\n= No locking for off-vertical angles with this version, you'll need the knob version if you wish to lock the head at angle other than perfectly vertical.\n= Adjustable resistance collar is...iffy.\n\nIn summary, for tabletop use I would still prefer the version with the knob, but this pedal version is great for use as a monopod base as you can use your foot to lock/unlock w/o bending down.
