When you first receive the machine, you need to run it to flush out any residual dirt inside. However, you may find that no water comes out because air is trapped inside, preventing the pump from drawing water. To fix this, follow these steps:\n\nTurn on the machine until the indicator light stops flashing. Then, move the steam lever to the position above the drip tray. Next, slide the control lever on the right side of the machine toward you to activate the system. The trapped air will be expelled through this outlet. Once the water flow becomes steady, return the control lever to the “off” position.\n\nPress the hand-shaped button to initiate a flushing cycle for the internal tubing. Repeat this process 2–3 times to ensure that the internal tubing has been thoroughly cleaned and flushed with hot water. Each press of the hand-shaped button will run the machine for approximately one minute. Meanwhile, pressing the coffee cup-shaped button will run the machine for about half a minute before automatically stopping. If you want the water flow to stop earlier, simply press the button again.\n\nPulu: A word of caution—the tank and the machine itself are separated by a red silicone plug. Be sure to remove this plug first. This plug is no longer needed. The machine I received had a pressure gauge malfunction, but it still produced excellent coffee, so I decided to keep it anyway.
