Pass Labs XP-12 Pure Class A Stereo Preamplifier | Dual-Mono Fully Balanced | Made in USA I Demo Set I

Pass Labs XP-12 — Pure Class A Stereo Preamplifier Demo SetThe Pass Labs XP-12 is a reference-grade stereo line preamplifier designed by Nelson Pass, the man behind some of the most respected amplification circuits in the history of high-end audio.Built on a pure Class A, dual-mono topology, the XP-12 operates with zero crossover distortion and complete left/right channel isolation — delivering a soundstage that is wide, deep, holographic, and utterly stable. This is the preamplifier that gets out of the way of your music.---Why Pure Class A MattersMost preamplifiers operate in Class AB — switching between two gain devices as the signal crosses zero. This crossover introduces distortion, timing errors, and a subtle veiling of micro-dynamics that robs music of its life. The XP-12 operates purely in Class A at all times. Every note, every transient, every harmonic overtone passes through a single continuous gain path — uncoloured, undistorted, alive.---Dual-Mono ArchitectureLeft and right channels are completely separate inside the XP-12 — separate power supplies, separate gain stages, separate ground paths. The result is a channel separation of >80dB and a soundstage so precisely imaged, you can close your eyes and place each instrument in three-dimensional space.---Fully Balanced from Input to OutputThe XP-12 accepts both XLR balanced and RCA unbalanced sources, and provides both XLR and RCA outputs. The balanced circuit runs differentially throughout — effectively rejecting interference, ground noise, and cable-induced artefacts before they reach your ears.Whether your system is fully balanced or single-ended, the XP-12 integrates seamlessly.---Specifications| Spec | Detail ||------|--------|| Type | Stereo Line Preamplifier || Circuit Class | Pure Class A || Design | Dual-Mono, Fully Balanced || Inputs | 4× RCA Unbalanced, 1× XLR Balanced || Outputs | 2× RCA Unbalanced, 1× XLR Balanced || Gain | 14dB (Balanced) / 8dB (Unbalanced) || THD | <0.05% at 1V output || S/N Ratio | >110dB || Frequency Response | 2Hz – 100kHz (–3dB) || Output Impedance | 75Ω (Balanced) / 150Ω (Unbalanced) || Channel Separation | >80dB || Dimensions | 432mm W × 83mm H × 305mm D || Weight | 7.7 kg || Power | 30W || Origin | Made in USA |---As Heard By the World's Leading Audio Press> "The XP-12 offers a level of transparency and musicality that belies its modest price within the Pass Labs range.
